Biography
- Joined the Scottish Government in 1983, working across six area offices from Oban to Shetland.
- Delivered frontline services in plant health, livestock inspections, and crofting legislation.
- In 2019, joined the Agricultural Holdings team, contributing to the implementation of the “relinquishment and assignation” provisions for 1991 secure tenancies.
- In 2021, led the COVID-19 testing programme for seasonal workers at SASA and assumed responsibility for Scottish Agricultural Wages enforcement and Seasonal Worker policy.
- Appointed Head of Agricultural Wages and Rural Industry Engagement in February 2022, leading on workforce and wage issues in Scotland’s rural economy.
