Digital Imaging & Presentation (DI&P)

 

 

DI&P (a section of SASA Business & Support Services Branch) exists to support the scientific work conducted at SASA, playing a significant role both in contributing to the successful delivery of the SASA Business Plan, and in national and international promotion of SASA.

The DI&P team are professionally qualified photographers, primarily providing a professional photographic, video, and display services to all SASA staff. 

DI&P is a small and busy unit but (where resources allow) the team are happy to extend services to colleagues in the Agriculture and Rural Economy Directorate, in the wider Scottish Government, and occasionally to external customers.

Services available:

  • Photography and video throughout the entire gamut of SASA's activities. Challenging subjects range from botanical, through entomological and microbiological, to wildlife, laboratory, crop/seed inspection, field trials and public relations work.
  • Photo manipulation. Team members are adept in the use of Adobe Photoshop.
  • High quality, large format printing (max. width 44”). A variety of media types are kept in stock.
  • Encapsulation (max. width 38”).
  • SASA Image Bank - a digital archive of nearly 30,000 images reflecting the work of SASA and associated Scottish Government Departments. *
