Oilseed Rape Testing

Oilseed rape field

Field of oilseed rape

As a result of customer demand, we now offer a tetrazolium test for Oil Seed Rape in addition to purity, search and germination tests. Like cereals the relationship between the tetrazolium test and the germination test of oilseed rape is good for healthy seed lots. Where disease affects the germination of untreated seed the tetrazolium test should indicate the potential germination of the seed after the application of appropriate chemical seed treatment.

The test involves the dissection, biochemical staining and microscopic examination of the seed.
