Release Site Inspection Reports

Inspection Reports are sent to the GM Co-ordination Team of the Scottish Executive after each inspection and can be viewed on the Scottish Executive GM web site. Reports have the following format.

site inspection to assess compliance with part vi environmental protection act 1990 and the genetically modified organisms (deliberate release) (SCOTLAND) regulations 2002.

Consent Reference :

Consent Reference, a unique number designated by the NIEWS GM Unit

Consent Holder : :

Name of the consent holder, the body granted the consent

Release Details : :

Crop name that has been genetically modified

The type of modification, e.g. herbicide resistance

SASA Site Number :

Unique site number

Site Details :

Location of the release

O.S. Reference :

6 Figure Ordnance Survey grid reference

Crop Grown :

Crop being grown on the release site

Report Number :

Report number, edition and status of the report.

Site Inspection Date :

Inspection date

Site Inspection Number :

Unique visit number

Staff Seen :

Staff seen who provided information to the Inspectors

Inspection Details :

Summary of the findings of the inspection that are relevant to the consent, including the conditions and limitations.

Report Conclusions :

This section identifies whether or not the consent conditions has been applied and identifies any risk to human health or the environment.

Action Taken :

Identifies actions carried out by the Inspectorate in relations to the consent conditions
