Management audits of consent holders

Management audits provide an overview of a consent holder’s ability to organise and implement releases throughout the life of a consent. Audits ensure:

  • that effective procedures and protocols for conducting GM field trials are in place,
  • that the conditions of a consent are known throughout the management chain of the company and,
  • that the consent holder can demonstrate that they have discharged their duty of care in releasing only materials with modifications covered by the consent.

Joint Management Audits are also conducted with the CSL GM Inspectorate where consent holders have consents that are active in both England and Scotland or have similar consents in both territories.
