  1ST ANNOUNCEMENT - INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCES ON BACTERIAL 
  PLANT PATHOGENS - JULY 2006


   
  
Central Science Laboratory and Scottish Agricultural Science Agency are pleased to announce two international conferences on plant pathogenic bacteria.  Early pre-registration is advised since numbers for both conferences are limited.  Please share this notice with interested colleagues.
The 4th International Bacterial Wilt Symposium (IBWS2006)

This symposium is dedicated to the presentation and discussion of research on Ralstonia solanacearum and the bacterial wilt diseases it causes. This meeting will characteristically unite both fundamental and applied researchers from all over the world to stimulate professional exchange and collaboration on all aspects of this destructive pathogen. Papers and posters will be invited covering the full genetic diversity and wide host range of the pathogen complex with sessions dedicated to molecular genetics, host-pathogen interactions, taxonomy, diagnostics, epidemiology and control.
